Notice of Public Hearing - Proposed Issuance by the Authority of its Multifamily Housing Revenue Notes

Notice is hereby given by the Housing Authority of the City of North Charleston, South Carolina (the "Authority") to all interested persons that a public hearing will be held  on August 5, 2021 regarding the proposed issuance by the Authority of its Multifamily Housing Revenue Notes (Blue House Commons Apartments) (the "Notes"), in an initial aggregate principal amount not to exceed $17,385,000.00.  The Notes are intended to be issued as qualified exempt facility bonds for qualified residential rental projects under Section 142(a)(7) of the Internal Revenue Code.

The Authority will lend a portion of the proceeds of the Notes in the amount of not to exceed $17,385,000.00 to Bradley Blue House Commons, LLC, a limited liability company duly organized under the laws of the State of South Carolina (the "Housing Sponsor"), to provide construction and permanent financing for a portion of the costs of acquisition and new construction of the multifamily rental housing facilities to be known as "Blue House Commons Apartments," consisting of approximately one hundred twenty (120) rental units and related facilities, located at 3200 Shipley Street, in the City of North Charleston, Charleston County, South Carolina (the "Project").  The Project will be owned by the Housing Sponsor.

Due to the current public health emergency, the public hearing will be conducted via video and telephonic conferencing on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. and the public will not be able to attend in person. All persons who intend to express their views for or against the proposed issuance of Bonds, the nature of the financing, or the approval of the issuance of the Bonds must contact the Authority, not less than 24 hours prior to the public hearing, via email to inform the Authority of your intent to do so.

Those who participate in the public hearing will be permitted to address the Authority regarding the financing or the Bonds for a period of up to three minutes.
