Emergency Housing Vouchers Available

The North Charleston Housing Authority was recently awarded 59 Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHV). The EHV program is available through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to assist individuals and families who are:

• Homeless,
• At risk of homelessness,
• Fleeing, or attempting to flee, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking, or 
• Were recently homeless or have a high risk of housing instability.

The availability of these vouchers is managed through a direct referral process with the Lowcountry Continuum of Care (CoC). If you believe you are eligible for EHV assistance, you must call 843-459-5044 to undergo an assessment of availability.
